The frog tie is a relatively common tie that has much in common with the two column tie. The biggest difference is the technique for getting the rope through the pinch point near the knee or elbow which is difficult to get the rope through. Model: CherriesJubalie
Standard Safety disclaimer: Bondage is fun but it can also be dangerous. Ropes that are too tight or in the wrong place can cut off blood flow or cause nerve damage. It is your responsibility to ensure that you play safely. Whatever you do, have fun doing it!
Step 1 - Make a bight by folding the rope in half at the middle.
Step 2- Make a lark’s head by passing the loose tails through the bight.
Step 3 - Fold the limb in half and place the lark's head around it. Depending on the final use, place the bight on the outside or inside of the leg between the two parts of the leg.
Step 4 - Wrap around the limb several times working away from the bight Wrap the working ends around the leg in the opposite direction of the bight until you have used enough of your rope.
Step 5 - Feed the working end through the bight created when you started wrapping the lark's head around the limb.
Step 6 - Pull the tails all the way through the bight and snug everything up.
Step 7 - Tuck the tails between the two halves of the limb nearest the bight and feed through to the other side.
Step 8 - Pull the working end through to the other side.
Step 9 - Tuck the tails under the wraps and pull towards the ankle/wrist. By pulling towards the looser part of the frog tie, we can tuck the tails through a much easier location and avoid trying to push a rope through the very tight area next to the knee/elbow.
Step 10 - Pull the rope through to the other side. We will not be pulling the rope tight until the next step.
Step 11 - Tuck the tails up under the wraps and pull out near the knee/elbow joint.
Step 12 - Pull the rope tight, you now have cinch ropes both above and below the wraps without having to stuff a rope in the tight part by the joint.
Step 13 - You could run the ropes down to the bight and tie off but it is cleaner if you follow through the rest of the steps and capture the diagonal rope as shown here.
Step 14 - Pull the cinch rope as tight as desired here. After this, the cinch will be locked off so you it won't get tighter after that.
Step 15 - Tuck the tails back under the wraps and pull snug to lock that diagonal rope in place.
Step 16 - Pull the ropes you tucked under in step 15 snug.
Step 17 - Tuck one of the tails through the bight in preparation for tying off the ropes.
Step 18 - Tie the bondage off with a knot of your choice, I'm using a square knot here.
Step 19 - Enjoy!
